Comrades from The Struggle of Pakistan have sent us a declaration by the Jammu Kashmir National Student Federation that they lead, about the escalation between Pakistan and India. The declaration can be read below.
Dear people and oppressed nationalities and working class of the Subcontinent,
We are facing terrible times here in Kashmir. The line of Control (LoC) once again converted into a living hell by both states, India and Pakistan. After Pulwama attack, India advanced its military in the Jammu Kashmir and now both sides beating the drums for war. We clearly now that this is one more episode of the war drama which can never be fought instead of cross firing across LoC. So far, in the recent episode, approximately 25 people have been killed across LoC while property worth millions have been destroyed.
First of all, let us clearly mention that we have no sympathies for warmongers, national chauvinism and so-called Jihadi militants. We, Kashmiri, believe that with a peaceful struggle and a joint movement comprised upon the masses from IoK, Jammu, Ladakh, Valley, PoK, and Gilgit Baltistan we can attain our destination of freedom. A joint struggle on the basis of class contradiction can ensure our victory, no religious movement or any sectarian stance can help us in our struggle.
Secondly, we cannot turn our faces towards Pakistan or Indian state for help instead we believe that the youth, women, workers and masses from India and Pakistan are more powerful and trustworthy in our movement.
To all the oppressed working class of Pakistan,
Your rulers and military establishment are snatching every single coin from you in the name of Kashmir war. But this war is only a business motive for them, they rob you and kill innocents. Your money is ending up as a bullet in the chest of a Kashmiri. We appeal you to speak against this brutality. Now, The time is up! Stand up and raise your voice against it. Your courage, support and solidarity is our biggest strength.
Dear Pashtuns and Balochis,
We know that you are facing tremendous difficulties from last few decades. Missing person and beaten to death is a common practice in your areas. The state is cruel and it’s very much clear now but by joining our hands against this cruelty we can strengthen our voices.
To the Indian masses,
You also have seen turbulent times. A Hindutva fascist regime is in power and to be in power they are playing with our dead bodies. A war criminal is heading the state and his brutality exposed him in Gujarat first and now in Valley. Communal violence is oxygen for this regime and Kashmir question is like a heart for its state, pumping the blood of innocents in its veins. There is a huge wealth gap between the rich and poor of India, that the history never witnessed such difference ever. The so-called biggest and “Shining” democracy also has the biggest slums in the world. 80 crore of Indians don’t have access to moderate food. Naxalites are fighting for their separation, while South Indians and Nagas never showed trust in the Indian state. Nagas are struggling for their identity. The state has failed to resolve the genuine issues of the whole population. Instead by encouraging Hindu fundamentalism they are diverting the attention from real issues. We believe in You, the working class of India, that are in millions. We believe that you will stand up against all cruelties!

Let’s join our hands and stand together with fists raised and voices high against all the oppression and cruelties of both the states and its ruling elites. We believe, the powerful working class and mass struggle against all oppression will pave the way towards our destination, the Freedom! not only the Kashmir’s Freedom but the Freedom of the whole Subcontinent, Freedom from Oppression, Freedom from Deprivation, Freedom from Imperialist Aggression. Freedom of Identity, Freedom to Speak, and Freedom to Live.
And the freedom of the subcontinent will be the catalyst for the World’s freedom movement,

Los compañeros de La Lucha de Paquistán nos hicieron llegar una declaración de la Federación Estudiantil de Jammu Kashmir, que dirigen, sobre la escalada bélica entre Paquistán e India en la región disputada de Kashmir. La reproducimos a continuación.Querido pueblo, nacionalidades y clase trabajadora del subcontinente, estamos enfrentando terribles momentos aquí en Kashmir. La línea de control (LoC) una vez más fue convertida en un infierno por ambos Estados de India y Paquistán. Tras el ataque de Pulwama, India avanzó con su ejército en Jammu Kashmir y ahora ambos bandos están sonando los tambores de guerra. Tenemos claridad de que se trata de un nuevo episodio del drama bélico que no puede desenvolverse mas que disparando de un lado al otro de la LoC. Hasta ahora, aproximadamente 25 personas han sido muertas y propiedades que valen millones han sido destruidas en este episodio.En primer lugar, queremos aclarar que no tenemos simpatía alguna por los belicistas, chovinistas nacionales y militantes “jijadistas”. Nosotros, los kashmiros, creemos que, mediante una lucha pacífica y un movimiento conjunto compuesto por las masas de IoK, Jammu, Ladakj, Valley y Gilgit Balistan, podemos lograr la libertad que aspiramos. Una lucha conjunta en base a las contradicciones de clase puede asegurar nuestra victoria. Ningún movimiento religioso ni postura sectaria puede ayudarnos en nuestra lucha.Segundo, no podemos recurrir a los Estados de Paquistán ni de India para pedir ayuda. Creemos que la juventud, las mujeres, los trabajadores y las masas de India y Paquistán son más poderosos y confiables para nuestro movimiento.
A todos los trabajadores oprimidos de Paquistán.
Sus gobernantes y establishment militar les están arrebatando cada moneda en nombre de la guerra de Kashmir. Pero esta guerra sólo tiene motivos de negocios. Les roban a ustedes y matan a inocentes. Su dinero está destinando a las balas que penetran los pechos de los kashmiros. Apelamos a que levanten su voz contra esta brutalidad. ¡Ahora se ha acabado el tiempo! Levántense y alcen su voz en oposición. Su coraje, apoyo y solidaridad es nuestra mayor fortaleza.
Queridos pashtun y balochis.
Sabemos que vienen enfrentando tremendas dificultades en las últimas décadas. Las desapariciones de personas y los asesinatos a golpes son práctica común en su región hace años. El Estado es cruel y esto es tanto más claro ahora. Pero, al tomarnos las manos contra esta crueldad, podemos fortalecer nuestras voces.
A las masas de la India.
Ustedes también enfrentan tiempos turbulentos. Un régimen hindutva fascista está en el poder, y para mantenerse en él, están jugando con nuestros cadáveres. Un criminal de guerra encabeza el Estado y su brutalidad fue expuesta, primero en Gujarat y ahora en Valley. La violencia comunal es oxígeno para ese régimen y la cuestión de Kashmir es como un corazón para su Estado, bombeando la sangre de los inocentes en sus venas. Hay una enorme brecha de riqueza entre los ricos y los pobres de la India. La historia no conoce semejante desigualdad. La mal llamada democracia “brillante” más grande del mundo, también alberga las villas miseria más grandes del mundo. El 80% de los indios no tienen acceso adecuado a los alimentos. Los naxalites luchan por su separación, mientras los indios del sur y nagas nunca confiaron en el Estado indio. Los nagas luchan por su identidad. El Estado ha fracasado en resolver los problemas genuinos del conjunto de la población. En cambio, al incentivar al fundamentalismo hindú, desvían la atención de los problemas reales. Nosotros confiamos en ustedes, los trabajadores de la India, que son millones. Confiamos en que enfrentarán todas las crueldades.Camaradas, unámonos de manos y enfrentemos, con los puños en alto y las voces fuertes, toda la opresión y las crueldades de ambos estados y sus élites gobernantes. Estamos convencidos que la poderosa clase trabajadora y la lucha de masas contra toda opresión abrirá el camino hacia nuestro destino, la libertad. No solo la libertad de Kashmir, sino la libertad de todo el subcontinente, librado de la opresión, las privaciones, de la agresión imperialista. Libertad de identidad, de opinar y de vivir.Y la libertad del subcontinente será catalizador del movimiento por la libertad del mundo
