The organizations, parties, political leaders and militants that took part in the Latin American and the US Conference subscribe to the following political definitions and we commit ourselves to promoting the campaigns and resolutions detailed below:
We raise workers´political independence from capitalists, their States, governments and parties as our main cause. We reject class collaboration, and the fronts and political organizations that abide by that principle, because they lead workers to submitting to the interests of the capitalists and their States.
We define the struggle for a workers´ government, for the Socialist Unity of Latin America and international socialism as our strategic objective. As this Conference´s convening statement points out: “The balance and conciliation of interests between capital and workers, trumpeted by bourgeois nationalism and the center left is nothing but a reactionary utopia that has the sole objective of tying workers to the interests of the bourgeoisie. In opposition, we pose the struggle for an anti-capitalist solution and a comprehensive transformation of the continent under the rule of the working class.”
To reach these objectives, we promote the broadest unity of workers and the people, with the sole strategic objective of fighting for the perspective of the socialist revolution. We reject the competition and rivalry fostered by capitalists and States among workers from different nations. We struggle for international solidarity and the unity of the working class, and we exclaim: Workers of the world, unite!”
We support, develop and promote – in all grounds and in every country, including the United States – the anti-imperialist fight. US imperialism is, in Latin America and throughout the world, the expression of super exploitation and the main oppressor of the peoples, a role also played by other imperialist states in the European Union and Japan. The imperialist politics and oppression of the US government and international financial capital over Latin American countries is not only expressed in the economic field, but also in their conspiracies with “puppet” governments in the subcontinent and their intervention attempts and military threats.
We repudiate the Bolivian coup government that has suspended elections again, and make a call to fight against it. We also repudiate the attempt of proscription against the MAS (Movement towards Socialism) even though we do not support this political force, who has been attempting to conciliate with the coup leaders and – when in government – betrayed the October Agenda. We call to fight for the non-payment of Latin American and Caribbean countries´ external debts, as well as those of the oppressed peoples of the whole world. We promote the mobilization for “Out With Bolsonaro-Mourao,” calling for an end to the entire regime of domination…
We unconditionally support the gigantic, extraordinary rebellion headed by the people of North America, and we denounce Trump’s criminal militarization. We advocate for the development, extension and deepening of the US rebellion. We reject and denounce the Democratic Party´s intention of channeling the huge popular discontent with Trump’s government into the elections. Behind that effort there is the intention of placating the rebellion, putting an end to direct mass action and deviating any intent of independent political organization by the exploited. They are the other capitalist-imperialist warmonger that alternates in power. The solution they offer will only go against the interests of those who continue fighting in the United States.
We also highlight the huge revitalization of the massive rebellion in Chile, while we denounce the successive collaboration pacts of the capitalist and center left opposition, and more than ever we say “Out with Piñera!” We demand the freedom of the rebellion´s political prisoners and the Mapuches, who are fighting to recover their historical territories and against state repression. We subscribe to the campaign for putting an end to the PFA (Pension Funds Administration) and in favor of a solidarity retirement system, administered by active and retired workers.
We support and promote every workers’ and peoples’ struggle against austerity plans and capitalist governments. We denounce austerity plans and the capitalist offensive against workers’ gains throughout the world. Governments as representatives of capital use the pandemic crisis to apply more and more austerity, lay-offs and salary cuts, more work flexibility, destruction of retirement systems and exploitation of the precarious youth. We also denounce the complicity of union bureaucracies in every country, who act as a shackle on workers’ militant strength, enabling the advance of reforms against workers while supporting governments in power…
Building revolutionary parties – both nationally and internationally – is a major necessity to carry out this political program…
Women´s enormous militant movement has been and still is an important protagonist in regional struggles, with a greater importance in Chile, Argentina and in various countries and processes. We develop and promote the struggle of the women´s movement that demands legal abortion, and an end to femicides, abuse and sexist violence – with their massive mobilizations.
We condemn the criminal repression against peoples and workers in Latin America and the United States, the criminalization of protest, and police violence; and we stand in favor of full rights to mobilization and struggle…
We resolve:
To carry out rallies and protests at US embassies in all countries in order to support the rebellion of the North American people, to reject imperialist interference in Latin America and to call for stopping the payment of foreign debts in Latin America, the Caribbean and all oppressed countries.
To support workers and the people in Chile in “Out with Piñera!” and the achievement, through their struggle, of a truly free and sovereign constituent assembly. We demand the freedom of all the rebellion´s prisoners.
To support and promote the struggles of all workers against layoffs, salary cuts and other attacks on their living conditions by capitalist governments
To take part in and promote upcoming mobilizations of delivery app workers in various countries.
To promote the September 28th “International Safe Abortion Day in Latin America and the Caribbean” mobilizations, also raising the cause of “Separation of Church and State”
To reaffirm our adherence to the 10 programmatic points contained in the document “A new scenario in Latin America and the necessity of a socialist and revolutionary solution” which was part of the initial announcement to the Latin American Conference, adding the points referring to pandemic and uprising in the United States and developed in the documents that paved the way for the current Online Conference of Latin America and the USA.
