Yesterday, January 31, while the French ambassador was visiting the Ichbiliya theater in Sidon, the comrades of the Youth Movement for Change managed to surround the theater, closing all its exits for more than 2 hours, demanding the liberation of the prisoner Georges Abdullah.
After the intervention of the Lebanese armed forces, with repression they managed to remove the ambassador from the theater while the comrades shouted “Freedom to Georges Abdullah”.
We are going to continue with our campaign for the release of comrade Geroges with all necessary measures to exert the greatest possible pressure before February 10.
We will continue informing on the evolution of the comrade’s case and we ask all the comrades of the International Socialist League to continue promoting the campaign for the liberation of Georges Abdullah.
