The last group of activists of the flotilla has been released and is already on their way back to their countries of origin. Among them is our comrade Cele.
By Ruben Tzanoff
On the morning of Tuesday, October 7, the Argentine Embassy in Tel Aviv informed that Israeli authorities would transfer our comrade Cele Fierro and other activists from Ketziot prison to the Jordanian border to be released.
This good news has been ratified with the arrival of Cele in Jordan. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates also announced the entry through the King Hussein Bridge, of one Jordanian citizen and 130 citizens from Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Oman, Kuwait, Libya, Pakistan, Turkey, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.
Our comrade Cele, who was in the “Adara” and two other Argentines will fly from Jordan on Wednesday 8th at dawn, to arrive in Buenos Aires on the same day during the evening.
We are proud of Cele’s internationalist militancy, participating in the risky mission of the GSF on behalf of the MST of Argentina and the International Socialist League (ISL).
We also salute the solidarity activism of the humanitarian mission to break the blockade through the GSF, which has the merit of having put the denunciation of genocide and famine at the center of the world scene for more than a month.
It was the quick and overwhelming worldwide mobilization in defense of the GSF and demanding the release of the activists that prevented them from being locked up for long periods of time, as Zionism had threatened to do so under false accusations of “terrorism”.
Our fight continues. There is no time for breaks. We will follow the events closely until the activists and Cele arrive home. And we call to continue to push forward all actions planned for Palestine and against genocide, ethnic cleansing, occupation and the blockade on humanitarian aid.
