Millions marched across the United States in the second No Kings mobilizations on October 18. According to the organizers, more than 7 million took to the streets at more than 2,700 events in all 50 states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico. This is 2 million more than the first No Kings day of action in June.

The event was mainly organize by left leaning liberal NGOs linked to the Democratic Party and the marches abounded in “Newsome was right” and similar slogans. But radicalized sectors expressing solidarity with Palestin, rejecting ICE and the capitalist imperialist status quo were also widespread.

Many marches had left contingents centered on Palestine solidarity, immigrant rights or coalitions of the radical left. The day of actions demonstrates that a mayority of the American working people reject the authoritarian, racist and repressive MAGA agenda, and that a growing radicalizing segment is increasingly willing to confront them and is open to organizing around socialist politics.
