In a cowardly attempt of intimidation, Zionism attacked one of the ships of the humanitarian flotilla in Tunisian waters. Despite the explosion as a result of the aggression, the crew is safe.

The boat where Greta Thunberg, Thiago, Saif and part of the Board of Directors of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) are sailing, was hit by a drone attack in international waters. According to the GSF official statement, one of the main vessels, the Family Boat, sailing under the Portuguese flag “suffered fire damage to the main deck and below deck storage area” after being bombed by a drone.

According to initial information, “all six passengers and crew are safe“. In addition, the official publication clarifies that, “An investigation is currently underway and, when more information is available, it will be released immediately“.

“Acts of aggression aimed at intimidating and derailing our mission will not deter us. Our peaceful mission to break the siege of Gaza and stand in solidarity with its people continues with determination and steadfastness.” Despite the cowardly attack, the flotilla remains steadfast in its mission to break the Zionist blockade of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Celeste Fierro, who is part of the flotilla, but who is on another vessel(Adara), is on her way to Tunisia, where another part of the flotilla is located.

Zionism and its allies are trying to sabotage the humanitarian mission of the flotilla, which is trying to break the illegal blockade and bring food to Gaza. In the face of this test threat, we must redouble our mobilization and international solidarity.
