Considering that:

For 50 years, the Moroccan monarchy and authoritarian regime have occupied Western Sahara, repressing its people, violating human rights, plundering resources such as phosphate and fish through multinational and European companies, and destroying and polluting the environment in a situation of armed conflict.

Spain is historically and currently responsible for colonization, but also currently responsible since the government of Pedro Sánchez has accepted Mohamed VI’s autonomy plan.

US and European imperialism endorse occupation with the complicity of MINURSO (UN), which has not called for the referendum on self-determination that justifies its existence, nor has it protected the Sahrawi population under occupation.

The borders imposed by colonialism, plunder, and reactionary regimes can only be overcome through the struggle of the working class, youth, and oppressed peoples for an Africa free of imperialism, monarchies, occupations, and dependent capitalism.

Sahrawi self-determination must be integrated into a perspective of regional, continental, and global socialist transformation.

The struggles of the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples are united by the same goal of being free in their own territory, which is currently usurped.

The 3rd Congress of the ISL resolves:

1-To reject the proposal for “autonomy” under Moroccan sovereignty, Morocco’s demands at the secret summit with Spain to appropriate Sahrawi airspace, and any attempt to legalize occupation.

2- To demand the annulment of all agreements made without the participation of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate representative, the Polisario Front.

3- To demand that the referendum for self-determination be guaranteed.

4- Denounce the accomplices of the occupation, support mobilization, and promote international solidarity campaigns, calling on workers’, youth, and popular organizations to coordinate joint actions in solidarity with the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples.

Adopted by the III World Congress of the ISL
