On behalf of the RSF, JKNSF, International Socialist League , students, and working masses of #Pakistan and #Jammu Kashmir, we strongly condemn the brutal and fascist attacks by the Bangladesh government on student protesters demanding reforms to the quota system. We are outraged by the killing of over six students and the injury of over 100.
We urge the
government to immediately halt the crackdown, restrain from using force, and listen to the students’ fair demands.
We stand in solidarity with the students of Bangladesh, acknowledging our shared history of student-led movements, including the 1968 revolution that forced Ayub Khan out of power in utter humiliation. We warn the government that failure to show restraint and wisdom will lead to a repetition of history. To the students of Bangladesh, we say: march forward, you are not alone in this fight. Students across the globe, particularly in South Asia, face similar struggles and feel your pain. Our solidarity and support are with you.
