The Zionist state is going for new settlements, occupations and annexations, with genocide and hunger. Internal tensions remain in Israel. The world mobilization has to stop the imperialist Zionist barbarism in Palestine and the Middle East.

New settlements

On May 29, the Israeli government approved 22 new settlements in the West Bank. This measure is part of the practice of ethnic cleansing that forcibly displaces the Palestinian population, consolidating the emplacement of criminal armed settlers operating under military protection.

The territorial expansion, protected by the Israeli state and courts, is not only an excess of the ultra-right government but a structural and historical policy of Zionism, which turns the West Bank into a fragmented prison, where millions of Palestinians live under occupation, without civil or political rights.

Calling for formal annexation

On July 23, the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) voted a non-binding motion demanding the government’s total annexation of the West Bank. Although the resolution has no immediate effects, it expresses the consensus among the Israeli establishment – from the religious extreme right to sectors of the Likud – to move from covert military control to a legal, open and definitive annexation.

This step seeks to crush any possibility of a Palestinian state, turning the occupation into direct and legal sovereignty over territories populated by millions of Palestinians. This is a reissue of South African apartheid, legitimized from the institutions and shielded by international impunity.

The West Bank is administered by the Palestinian National Authority (PA), whose dominant party is Fatah.

Occupation of the entire Strip

Israel’s security cabinet approved Netanyahu’s plan to militarily occupy the entire Gaza Strip, starting with Gaza City. They have claimed that it is not a permanent occupation and that they will hand over control to as yet unspecified Arab countries. Sectors of the far-right coalition are pushing for the annexation, while the army and relatives of hostages have warned of the risk to the hostages and are demanding an agreement.

Gaza has been under Hamas administration since 2007, following an internal conflict with Fatah.

Hunger, murder and dehumanization

The Israeli forces are continuing with the genocide, as part of which on August 6, Palestinian football legend Mohamed Barakat was assassinated, while more than 1,500 people were queuing to get food in Gaza. This crime is in addition to the toll of more than 38,000 Palestinians killed since October 2023, in a territory reduced to rubble and without access to water, food or medicine and the hundreds of people killed when they were looking for food.

Internal tension

It was reported that General Eyal Zamir, former number two of the army and current minister of defense, is raising differences with Netanyahu.

These tensions do not express a progressive division, Zamir is also a Zionist who shares the doctrine of “total security”, he only represents a military sector that questions the internal and external political and diplomatic attrition generated by the current prime minister. It is a struggle between sectors of the state for control of a shared strategy: Israeli supremacy over Palestine.

Trump endorses the occupation

For his part, Donald Trump declared that the total occupation of Gaza “will depend to a large extent on Israel.” This declaration, far from being diplomatic, legitimizes the total and perpetual annexation of the occupied territories, including Gaza. American imperialism was, is and will be openly pro-Zionist and defender of its armed gendarme for the peoples of the Middle East. Far from being a pacifist, Trump has blood on his hands supporting the expansionist project of “Greater Israel”.

Out with the Zionists of Palestine!

In the face of this criminal offensive by the State of Israel and its imperialist allies, the only way is to support the resistance with the broadest unity of action in the world mobilization. We demand: Severance of all government relations with Israel!Boycott Israeli interests! Immediate lifting of the blockade on humanitarian aid! No occupation or annexation of Gaza and the West Bank! Israel out of all Palestine!

In this sense, we call to support and promote the campaign of pronouncements, photographs and videos launched by Socialist Horizon – ISL of the USA. With the slogan “Feed Gaza Now!” “Free Palestine!”.

The fundamental way out is to defeat the State of Israel and its imperialist accomplices, to establish a single, secular, non-racist, democratic and socialist Palestine as part of the Socialist Revolution throughout the Middle East.
