Terror has reached an unprecedented level. The inhuman and cannibalistic spectacle staged by Bendji, the leader of the “Koko Rat San Ras” gang, during the murder of a heavy machinery operator with the Haitian National Police (PNH), is not an isolated act of savagery. It is the macabre symptom of a system rotten to the core.
In the face of this barbarity, a legitimate question burns on everyone’s lips: What is the point of the UN Multinational Force (FRG) and the millions of dollars allocated to increasingly expensive police budgets? We hear talk of advanced logistical resources and increases in risk premiums for first responders, but on the ground, reality is relentless: no territory has been reclaimed, and no population has been liberated.
The Two Sides of the Same Imperialist Coin
The truth is cruel, but it must be said: Haiti’s armed gangs and its international guardians are nothing more than two sides of the same coin. They share the same masters, the same architects of planned chaos.
What we are witnessing is the implementation of imperialism’s criminal agenda. For far too long, the UN and the Core Group have been selling us illusory solutions. They are trying to numb the national conscience so that chaos becomes our everyday reality.
The United Nations, under the direction of the Core Group and U.S. imperialism, is today at the center of a scandal involving the planned destruction of Haiti. In this cynical geopolitical equation, criminal gangs and private mercenaries are nothing more than links in the same chain. Their mission? To keep the country in a state of constant terror in order to facilitate the real agenda: the dispossession of the Haitian people and the plundering of our mineral resources through opaque contracts.
The Failure of the “Progressive” Forces
While the people are suffering terribly, where are those who claim to represent the voice of change? The outcome is bitter. The forces that call themselves progressive in Haiti show a deep fear of joining the masses and fighting alongside them.
Instead of strengthening their positions in support of the people’s deepest aspirations, these political elites prefer to tone down their rhetoric and pay ever more deference. Their goal is not national liberation, but rather to curry favor with foreign ministries in the hope of securing a small share of power.
In the face of the plan to plunder and dehumanize Haiti, the only alternative lies in the awakening of the masses and the organization of a genuine national resistance. The Haitian people will not allow themselves to be stripped of either their land or their future.
