As students, women workers and revolutionary militants, we raise our voices with strength and conviction to express our deepest solidarity with the Palestinian people, who for more than 75 years have heroically resisted the occupation, apartheid and systematic massacres carried out by the Zionist State of Israel.

While Gaza is reduced to rubble, with thousands of dead, forced disappearances, destroyed hospitals and war crimes documented by multiple international organizations, the government of Paraguay chooses to close ranks with the genocidaires. The recent reestablishment of diplomatic relations and cooperation with Israel, promoted by the government of Santiago Peña, is an affront to the dignity of the people and a national disgrace.

We denounce this agreement for what it is: a reactionary alliance that reinforces militarism, repressive surveillance and the dirty business of global capitalism. Israel is not only an occupying power, but a laboratory of war and social control technologies, which it exports to authoritarian and repressive regimes around the world. Paraguay, by moving closer to Tel Aviv, aligns itself with the strategy of imperialism and its regional partners.

These pacts do not represent us. In the universities, in the neighborhoods and in the streets, we actively oppose genocide and the complicit silence of governments. As working women, we do not forget that Palestinian women and children are victims of armed, sexual and structural violence. As organized youth, we do not forget that no Palestinian student can study and we do not accept the normalization of Zionist crimes or the criminalization of those who resist around the world in solidarity.

We demand:

The immediate termination of all diplomatic, commercial or military agreements between Paraguay and Israel.

An end to the occupation and genocide against the Palestinian people.

Trial and punishment of Netanyahu and all those responsible for war crimes.

For a single, free, secular, socialist Palestine from the river to the sea, with the return of all refugees.

We call on all student, feminist, workers and human rights organizations to join a united campaign of solidarity with Palestine and active repudiation of the Zionist regime and its allies in our region.
